The Gay and Lesbian Center will be cutting the ribbon for their new counseling center, "The Annex", which will also serve as the administrative offices for center staff.
The celebration will take place today, Thursday October 12, 2017 between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m., but the ribbon cutting will happen at 4 p.m. and will be done by Vice-Mayor Bob Smith.
"The Annex" was created because there was a need for a more discreet place where services such as one-on-one advocacy, private counseling, and group activities could be offered to members of the local LGBTQ community.
