Two men were arrested after deputies found guns, ammo, and drugs in a home in Delano, the Kern County Sheriff's Office said late Wednesday.

Deputies said they pulled over Francisco Martinez, 22, on Cecil Avenue in Delano at around 7:15 p.m. They took him to his home on Kensington Street, where they said they found a variety of weapons and cocaine.

"During a search of the residence, deputies located an SKS assault rifle with an attached bayonet and high capacity magazine, an AR-15 assault rifle with a high capacity magazine, a 12 gauge shotgun, hundreds of rounds of various ammunition, 48 grams of cocaine, and paraphernalia indicative of the sales of controlled substances," KCSO officials said in a press release.

Fernando was arrested and booked on several charges.

Another man in the home, Eduardo Martinez, 28, was also arrested on several charges, including possession of an assault weapon, possession of a firearm/ammunition by a felon and possession of high capacity magazines, the Sheriff's Department said.

Both men were also arrested on suspicion of participating in a criminal street gang, investigators said.
