A man was found dead in his cell at North Kern State Prison on Tuesday, according to the Kern County Sheriff's Office.
KCSO says 43-year-old Eddie Chapman was found unresponsive in his cell on the morning of July 12. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The cause and manner of death are currently under investigation, check back for updates.
