UPDATE (10:06): Joselito Meza has been sentenced to nine years in prison.

Joselito Meza, the man convicted of hitting and killing a man in Southwest Bakersfield, is set to be sentenced today. 

Meza was behind the wheel during the deadly hit and run that killed Miguel Aldaco back in February 2015 near White Lane and Buena Vista.

Police say the two were last seen together at the Firehouse Bar and Grill just before the incident.

Meza was found guilty of DUI and hit and run amongst other charges.
