Celebrities Josh Hutcherson from the Hunger Games and Nick Gonzalez from Melrose Place were at Jastro Park on Wednesday at a Bernie Sanders rally.

The two actors were there meeting locals and encouraging residents to get registered to vote.

Hundreds of people attended and there were 25 volunteers there eager to register everyone.

The event kicked off with information about how and when to vote and then the men of the hour took the stage to pledge their support for Bernie Sanders.

Even though many turned out just to meet the actors, the Hutcherson and Gonzalez said the event was about educating people and getting them registered to vote.

“More than anything what I think it’s important for people to realize is that this isn’t just about one election this is about a movement this is galvanizing an effort in a critical mass of people who care about issues," said Gonzalez.

Hutcherson who's from Kentucky which just had it's primary said it's important to get every potential voter signed up.

“Like every single little vote counts and I think it’s important for people to hear that and understand what that means,” said Hutcherson.
