Man arrested in East Bksfd kidnapping case

On January 19th, 2016, 25 year old Lanny Ham was arrested by Kern County Sheriff’s Office detectives for torture, assault with a firearm on a person, burglary, terrorist threats, and conspiracy.

Ham was arrested as part of an ongoing investigation into a report that two victims were kidnapped, tortured, and assaulted over a period of several days at a business in the 700 block of Sterling Rd. in east Bakersfield in September 2015. He was booked into the Sheriff’s Office Central Receiving Facility. His bail has been set at $1,000,000.
