The Kern County Sheriff's Office is asking for the community's help to identify a vehicle believed to be driven by the suspect in a shooting in East Bakersfield on Sunday.

Two people suffered injuries as a result of the shooting on Alturas Drive near La Colina Drive early Sunday evening.

A juvenile is in critical condition after being shot in the head. The second victim was treated at Memorial Hospital but has since been released.

KCSO told 23ABC they believe road rage might have been a factor in the shooting.

The department is now asking for the community's help to find the suspect through the use of security footage.

They are asking residents and businesses that may have security cameras facing Panorama Drive, River Boulevard, Columbus Street and/or Union Avenue to review the footage from Sunday between 4:30 and 5:15 p.m.

The victims were in an older silver four-door Toyota Camry and the suspect is believed to have been following, chasing or racing the Camry down those streets before shooting the victims on Alturas Drive.

Anyone with security footage that may help KCSO or information that could lead to the identification of the suspect is encouraged to call the Sheriff's Office at (661) 861-3110 or the Secret Witness hotline (661) 322-4040.
