Kern County Sheriff's Department detectives are investigating how a man ended up dead in an apartment complex in Oildale.
At about 1:55 p.m., KCSO deputies were sent to an apartment complex in the 200 block of Lincoln Ave. in Oildale regarding a man who was dead in an apartment.

Deputies said the body of the man displayed obvious signs of trauma and homicide detectives have taken over the investigation.
The decedent’s identity and cause and manner of death will be released at a later date by the Coroner’s Office. If anyone has information on this case they are asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 661-861-3110 or Secret Witness at 661-322-4040.
