KCSO homicide units are on scene of a suspicious death

UPDATE (October 13, 2017 12:45 p.m.): The coroner's office has released the name of the man found dead in a Lamont neighborhood on Thursday afternoon. 

Elenes Alonso, 26, was the man found unresponsive o Myrtle Avenue in between Paradise and Bonita Roads. 

A postmortem exam will be conducted sometime next week to determine the manner and cause of death of Alonso.

UPDATE (Oct. 12 11:28 p.m.): Investigators received reports of a person laying on the sidewalk in a Lamont neighborhood Thursday afternoon. 

Deputies arrived to Myrtle Avenue near Paradise and Bonita Roads and found a deceased adult male.

KCSO deputies said the body appeared to have suffered some sort of trauma.

Myrtle Avenue between Paradise and Bonita Roads were blocked off for several hours on Thursday as investigators gathered evidence. 

Investigators have released few details, and it is unknown if the man lived in the area. 

Deputies weren't able to confirm how he died or where he lived.
