The subject was transported to Kern Medical Center with major injuries and is currently in stable condition. The deputy will be placed on routine administrative leave pending a review of the shooting.

The investigation is ongoing. If anyone has information on this case they are asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at (661) 861-3110.
