Kern County Sheriff’s Office Deputies were dispatched to a victim of a shooting at the Fastrip located at Hwy 58 and Hwy 14 in Mojave, California.

As deputies were responding, they located the suspect vehicle fleeing the scene.  Deputies stopped the vehicle and a gun was thrown out of the window.

Two suspects, Dante Strong , a black male, 20 years old and Blu Tuch, a white female, 21 years old, were detained.

Deputies responded to the Fastrip and located two victims of a shooting near the store.  One was deceased and the other suffered moderate to major injuries.

Homicide detectives responded and took over the investigation.  It appears at this point, the suspects and victims met each other in the parking lot to the rear of Fastrip when Strong pulled out a gun and shot both victims in a possible robbery attempt.

The surviving victim briefly chased the suspects on foot, but Strong and Tuch were able to get into their vehicle and flee.

Deputies located them fleeing a short time later.
Strong and Tuch have been booked for charges including murder, attempted murder, robbery, conspiracy and aggravated mayhem.

The name of the victim will be released by the coroner’s office at a later time.
