On December 9, 2016, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., the Kern County Farm Bureau will be hosting their first 'Farm Worker Breast Cancer Screening'.
According to the U.S. Breast Cancer website, about 1 in 8 U.S. women will develop invasive breast cancer over the course of her lifetime.
KCFB will give free mammograms to farm workers and will also provide free babysitting while moms are being examined. Each appointment will take about 15 minutes.
