Kern County Sheriff's deputies looking suspect who attacked pedestrian with a box cutter

Earlier this week Kern County Sheriff’s Office deputies from the Tehachapi Substation were dispatched to the area of Golden Star Boulevard and La Jara Drive to investigate a robbery and assault with a deadly weapon.

The suspect is said to have robbed and attacked the victim with a box cutter and then ran away. The victim called sheriffs after the incident happened Monday afternoon around three. 

The victim's name hasn't been released by KSCO but 23ABC News can confirm they weren't critically hurt. 

Residents in the area of the incident say they feel less safe knowing something like this happened in broad daylight.
