The Kern County Sheriff's office is investigating a shooting that left one man dead in east Bakersfield.

KCSO said on Saturday they were dispatched to a man down at a business in the 500 block of Pepper Drive in Bakersfield. 

Deputies arrived and found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. 

After an investigation it was determined that the man was shot by an unknown suspect. 

Homicide detectives are investigating the case.
