The Kern County Board of Supervisors approved an agreement with the Governor's Office of Emergency Services on Tuesday to provide temporary housing to victims of the Erskine Fire.
Working with the Federal Emergency Management Agency, the agreement will bring a surplus of unused FEMA housing units from Sacramento to Kern County. The housing will help low-income homeowners displaced by the Erksine Fire.
For renters, the Kern River Valley Fire Safe Council will be holding a meeting tonight to discuss their options.
