Kern Health Systems to give $20,000 to Jefferson Elementary School on December 9

Kern Health Systems (KHS) partnered with two Kern County schools to implement a school-based Walking and Wellness program for the 2015-2016 school year.
 
Students who participated in the Program from Pioneer School (K-8) in Delano and Jefferson Elementary School (K-5) in Bakersfield experienced a measurable change in their health from daily walking and good eating habits.
 
Pioneer School received a $20,000 check on Wednesday, November 30th at 8 a.m. in front of students, parents, faculty and administration. Jefferson Elementary will receive their $20,000 check on Friday, December 9 at 1:20 p.m.
