Kern Medical will receive a $578,000 grant from Kaiser Permanente this week to support the hospital’s Up Sooner, Safer program. The program improves the mobility of hospitalized patients.
The grant will be used for new mechanical lifting devices in each unit of Kern Medical and the staff education on the lift equipment and protocols.
The Kaiser Permanente Southern California Region will present the Kern Medical Foundation with a check at the medical center’s Board of Governors meeting on Wednesday.
