Monday is the last day before you can file your taxes without a financial penalty for being late.

The Kern Vita Partnership will be hosting a tax preparation workshop tomorrow for people needing last minute help filing their forms.

If you made less than $60,000 last year, you can file for free.

It’s not all just crunching numbers, there will be a taco stand, raffles and free books for children.

Officials are telling those to bring a picture ID, W-2 forms for all jobs worked in 2015, social security number and bank account routing number.

The event will be from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the United Way of Kern County, located at 5405 Stockdale Hwy, suite 200.

Walk-ins are also welcomed.
