A man was arrested after a woman's body was found in an east Bakersfield hotel room Saturday morning. 

Eldrick Richmond is being held on a first-degree murder charge and is accused of killing a woman and leaving her body at the Town and Country Motel on Grove Street near Union Avenue around 11 a.m. Saturday.

Police found her body after they were called about a disturbance.

The woman's name has not yet been released.
