Bakersfield Police say a man was killed after being hit by a car in south Bakersfield. It happened just before 9 p.m at the intersection of South Chester Avenue and Wilson Road. 

Police and fire have the intersection shutdown as they investigate. According to our crew on the scene CHP is taking over the investigation.
