The Kern County Sheriff's corner has released the identity of the person shot and killed early Wednesday morning in the 300 block of Union Avenue.

Officials said 19-year-old Moises Nicholas Aguilar Lopez was in a vehicle with a teenage passenger, when they were both gunned downed after midnight, near a medical marijuana dispensary near Union Avenue and East Terrace Way. 

Lopez was pronounced dead at the scene.

Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call the Bakersfield Police Department.
