The Bakersfield Police Department is investigating a shooting that happened early Saturday morning in east Bakersfield.
Police said around 3:00 a.m. officers responded to the area of Alta Vista Dr. and Monterey St. for a report of a shooting.
When officers arrived they found evidence of a shooting, but no victim.
Officials said a short time later an adult male arrived at an area hospital with a gunshot wound. His injuries were considered not life-threatening.
No suspect information has been obtained by police. Officials are asking anyone with information to contact BPD at 327-7111.
