Man who killed two people, wounded two others at a 2013 party sentenced to life without parole

Julio Jesus Romero was originally arrested for a 2013 shooting at a Northeast Bakersfield party that killed two people and wounded two people. He was sentenced to 133 years in prison on October 6, 2016.

Romero was found guilty of six charges, including first degree murder and assault with a semi-automatic firearm, on August 17, 2016.

After the murders, Romero fled to Mexico where he was apprehended and arrested by police.

Romero will be held at the Wasco State Prison without parole.
