Methamphetamine, firearms seized during probation search

On May 24th, 2017 at about 11:40 am, deputies from the Kern County Sheriff’s Office Tehachapi Substation conducted a probation search at a home in the 20800 block of Neely Avenue in Tehachapi.

During the search, deputies located suspected methamphetamine, an assault rifle, a silencer, two loaded handguns, two high capacity magazines, a stolen California Department of Corrections badge, a police raid vest, ammunition, a gas mask, and U.S. currency.

As a result of the investigation, 26-year-old Matt Christy and 27-year-old Nikole Poczik were arrested for various weapons, drug, and gang related charges.
