The wife and niece of Mike Kennedy spoke to 23ABCjust three days after Kennedy was shot at an Oildale home by Christopher Gray.
Kennedy was taken to Kern Medical Center but was taken off life support on Sunday.
Gray also shot his uncle Ricky Gray, who died at the scene. Christopher Gray killed himself late Friday.
Kennedy's family said that he and Ricky Gray were longtime friends and Kennedy would go to Gray's home every day to help take him to doctor's appointments.
They do not know why Christopher Gray shot Kennedy.
Now the family needs the community's help in finding Kennedy's I.D. Without it, they say they cannot move forward with burying Kennedy.
The family has set up a GoFundMe page to help pay for funeral costs.
