The Kern County Fire Department is investigating a deadly structure fire in Onyx Sunday morning. 

According to officials, around 5:30 Sunday morning KCFD was dispatched to Linda Lane and Rocky Hill Road in Onyx for reports of a structure fire with one person possibly trapped inside. 

Officials said the single-wide mobile home was fully involved and high voltage power lines were on the ground. 

Witnesses on the scene reported on person lived in the home and was not outside. Fire crews quickly started fire fighting operations and initiated a search inside the home. 

During the initial search a body was found. 

Fire crews extinguished the fire in the home and the surrounding area. 

The fire remains under investigation.
