BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – New developments have been made in the case of a pair of suspicious deaths in Downtown Bakersfield over the weekend.

The Coroner says Brandy Meza was shot in the head and killed in an apartment near the corner of 20th and V Streets.

Eugene Storer was also found shot to death. Investigators say he killed himself after shooting Meza.

Both bodies were found on Saturday morning. However, Bakersfield Police told 23ABC that they may have been there for a few days.

The Coroner’s Office is ruling the deaths as a murder-suicide.
