New information about a homicide that happened last month in east Bakersfield has been released.

On October 22 at 8:45 a.m., Bakersfield Police received reports of a man down on Union Avenue and Loma Linda Drive. Once on scene, officers found a man, who was later identified as Jeffrey Alan Woodford, suffering from a stab wound to the abdomen.

Woodford, 48, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Dyllan Denna, 32, and Mary Holmes, 39, are believed to be the ones responsible for the death of Woodford.

According to a warrant obtained on Wednesday, a citizen came forward and told BPD that Denna, Holmes and another female came to his residence after the homicide.

The document said Denna, Holmes and the victim were in the car when the car ran out of gas in the area of Manor and Panorama Drives.

The victim's phone was taken and destroyed, thinking it could be tracked.

Denna and an unidentified woman clean blood off the car and then tried to go back to the scene to move the body, but BPD was already there.

Denna and Holmes were booked in Kern County Jail.
