Officials have identified the two individuals injured in the pursuit that ended in a fiery crash on Highway 58 near Union Ave.
Officials said on Friday night around 7:30 p.m. they responded to a tip about a suspect KCSO deputies were looking for in relation to a burglary earlier in the week.
Deputies spotted the vehicle and followed it until the suspect turned off his headlights and started heading westbound on eastbound Highway 58.
The suspect hit speeds of nearly 90 miles per hour as he traveled along the center median.

The suspect proceeded to turn left, lost control and traveled into the eastbound lanes, striking Jessica Nino, 20, of Bakersfield.
The suspect's vehicle rolled and came to a rest on the driver's side.
The passenger, identified as Cristobal Montes, 51, of Lamont crawled out of the vehicle and was able to walk away from the collision.
The suspect died at the scene. Officials said alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the collision.
The collision is still under investigation.
Earlier reports from KCSO on the incident said the pursuit and accident were related to a Lamont robbery suspect that left two men dead, however KCSO later retracted the initial report and said they are two separate incidents. The suspect in the vehicle was a suspect in a separate Lamont burglary that happened earlier in the week.
