One killed, 26 injured in Kramer Junction crash involving possible tour bus and two cars

Update, 3:15 p.m.: Hall Ambulance said 13 of the 21 surviving patients from the crash has been transported to hospitals in San Bernardino County.

Update, 2:44 p.m.: Hall Ambulance issued the following information via press release:

AT 12:17 P.M. KERN COUNTY’S EMERGENCY COMMUNICATIONS CENTER (ECC) REQUESTED HALL AMBULANCE SERVICE RESPOND TO THE KRAMER JUNCTION INCIDENT, APPROXIMATELY 1.5 MILES EAST OF HWY 395 ON HWY58, IN SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY.

THE FOLLOWING HALL AMBULANCE RESOURCES WERE DEDICATED TO THIS INCIDENT:

·         (6) ADVANCED LIFE SUPPORT PARAMEDIC AMBULANCES

·         (5) PARAMEDICS

·         (1) PARAMEDIC FIELD SUPERVISOR

·         (6) EMTS

AS OF 2:30 P.M., HALL AMBULANCE SERVICE HAS TRANSPORTED 11 OF 21 REPORTED PATIENTS TO AREA HOSPITALS LOCATED IN SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY.

ADDITIONAL UPDATES WILL BE RELEASED AS AVAILABLE.

UPDATE, 1:18 p.m.: Weather is hampering efforts to get rescue helicopters to the emergency scene, according to San Bernardino County Fire:

At least one person has died after a crash involving a possible tour bus and two other vehicles in the Kramer Junction area, the California Highway Patrol and San Bernardino County Fire Department said Monday.

The crash was reported just after 12 p.m. in the area of Highways 58 and 395, just to the east of Kern County.

Kern County Fire crews were at the scene helping San Bernardino County crews, including requesting four medical helicopters and nine ambulances. California City Fire Rescue was also helping with its resources.

San Bernardino County Fire confirmed that at least one person has died and 21 have been injured.

Emergency crews have requested a full closure of Highway 58 east of Highway 395.
