Victims have been identified in a Sunday morning crash that killed one person and multiple calves.

Officer Roberto Rodriguez of California Highway Patrol shared that 35-year-old Adrian Meza was arrested under suspicion of driving under the influence.

On October 23, Meza was driving northbound on Wildwood Road, approaching Garces Highway, at the same time as 42-year-old Ernesto Aranda, who was driving his pickup truck and trailer westbound on Garces Highway.

Meza failed to stop and collided with Arnada's pickup, causing it to rotate toward the north dirt shoulder and overturn the trailer. Meza's truck also overturned on the north dirt shoulder.

28-year-old Antonio Jaramillo, a male passenger of Meza's truck, was ejected and transported to Kern Medical for major injuries. Meza was transported to Kaweah Delta Medical Center for moderate injuries. 26-year-old Manuel Ariciga Junior was another passenger of Meza's truck and was transported to Delano Regional Medical Center with minor injuries.

23-year-old Juvenar Lopez Moreno was a passenger in Meza's truck and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Aranda and his passenger, 32-year-old Juan Rodriguez-Najar, were not injured in the collision.
