Bakersfield is gearing up to receive big-name musicians and comedians within the coming year.

With almost half a million people in Bakersfield and surrounding areas, its easy to see why it would be appealing to artists to make a stop in a city with deep country roots.

Blake Shelton will be making the first stop of his tour at the Rabobank Arena. Also performing there next year will be Tim McGraw and Faith Hill.

Willie Nelson will be performing three shows at the iconic Buck Owens' Crystal Palace for three nights.

George Lopez will also be at the Rabobank Arena on New Years Eve.

An economic boost could be possible due to people going to local restaurants, gas and fuel, hotels, etc.

With these events already set and more to come over time, residents across the valley are looking forward to attending some great shows.
