Shafter Police are investigating a dead body found near 7th Standard Road and Weidenbach Street in Shafter.

Police were called to the scene Monday night around 8 p.m. for reports of a vehicle in an orchard.

A deceased male was found inside a grey Honda Civic. The identity of the male has not been released.
