UPDATE (April 7, 2017 1:50 p.m.): The body found in a canal off Truxtun Avenue Wednesday has been identified as 41-year-old Juan Jack Flores of Delano. The cause and manner of death is being investigated by the Coroner's Office.

Police received reports of a body found floating in a canal Wednesday evening near Truxtun Avenue and Empire, west of Oak Street.
