An El Tejon Unified School District bus suffered a mechanical issue this morning at 8 a.m. just south of the El Tejon CHP Office.

The wheel well caught fire. The bus driver quickly jumped to action and used her fire extinguisher. The Kern County Fire Department also arrived on scene.

The quick thinking of the bus driver and quick response of KCFD saved the bus.
