We are following breaking news out of East Bakersfield of a reported hit and run with injuries, according to the Bakersfield Police Department website.

According to a crew on the scene southbound lanes of Cottonwood road are closed down at Brundage lane.

One lane is said to be open to let traffic flow through the area.

BPD is on the scene.
