The rumbles in the sky and the bright flashes of light left a trail of damage throughout Bakersfield.
A severe thunderstorm caused power outages, knocked down trees and even ruined some homeowner’s and businesses roofs.
Today Michael Monji and his crew worked hard to clean up a tree that was knocked down after last night's storm.
"I figured there was a lot of damage being done throughout Bakersfield and as you drive through bakersfield you see a lot of trees that have been down," said Monji.
Monji says even if your home wasn't damaged from Sunday night's storm you may need to check your trees for any cracks that could cause a bigger problem.
