A Shell gas station food mart in the Lake Isabella and Mt. Mesa area has been closed due to health reasons, according to the Kern County Health Department.

The store received a 65% after inspectors found fresh rodent droppings along snack aisles and in cabinets, and gnaw marks on food packaging.

Inspectors also found gaps in the front door and below the mop sink.

The store is located at 12400 Highway 178, Mt Mesa 93240.
