As of 12:00 p.m. on Monday, evacuation orders have been lifted for the Yankee Canyon and Mountain Mesa areas that were closed due to the Erskine Fire.

Forest Service officials say that there is still no power to the area and that bottled water will be available.

Squirrel Valley and South Lake remain closed at this time; Squirrel Valley access is closed at McCray Rd. and Dogwood, while South Lake access is closed at Entrada and Hwy 178.

Some areas east of South Lake along Hwy 178 will be available for residents to access. These areas are Larson Tract, Navajo, Hillview Acres, Bella Vista and Weldon according to the Forest Service. These areas are said to have power.

The Forest Service also reminds returning residents to follow water safety guidelines if their water system has been affected.
