Police were called out to the 10000 block of South Union Avenue around 1P.M., after hearing reports of a break-in.

Once deputies arrived they say they found 52-year-old Antonio Gardea Sr. trying to run.

Police say Gardea entered the residence through an unlocked window or door and while inside the home he sexually assaulted two young girls.

Gardea was out on parole and was just released from jail for trespassing and carrying a deadly weapon.

It’s concerning for Amanda James, who grew up in this neighborhood and now raises her family here.

"It's very sad that someone would do that to children and I have two small children and it makes me not feel very safe and it just seems to be more and more crime happening daily in this area,” said James.
