Students at Bethel Christian School will be viewing the 2017 Great American Eclipse this morning, in which teaching staff will be taking the opportunity to use the event as a unique learning opportunity. 

In addition, as students are plunged into the darkness of the eclipse, they're activities will be interrupted by both Darth Vader and The Dark Side Riders who will mingle throughout the campus as if it were Mos Eisley Space Port.

The Star Wars cosplayers are coming from Los Angeles to encourage student learning. 

The 2017 Great American Eclipse begins today, August 21st at 9:04 a.m. and will reach it's peak here in Bakersfield at 10:20 a.m.
