A suspect arrested last week for five felonies in connection with a shooting on Union Avenue will appear in court Wednesday afternoon.
28-year-old Ronald Hartfield was allegedly involved in an incident at the Residence Hotel near 18th Street at 5:30 p.m. on August 25.
Bakersfield police say a man was found suffering from a gunshot wound in the center median of Union Avenue.
Hartfield was charged with attempted murder, first degree robbery, second degree robbery, possession of a firearm, and participating in a street gang.
