The Taft Police Department as part of the Street Interdiction Team (S.I.T.) conducted an operation including Probation compliance checks Thursday in the Taft area.

The operation resulted in nine arrests including probation violations, open narcotic and weapon violations, multiple warrant arrests, and open charges for possession of stolen property.

A stolen travel trailer was also recovered.
