A Bakersfield teen was attacked and robbed of his bike and cell phone at a local park.

It happened Tuesday evening around 7 p.m. at Greystone Park near Harris Road and Mountain Vista Drive in southwest Bakersfield.

His mother, Tania Blanton, spoke exclusively with 23ABC about the incident.

Blanton says her son was attacked by three men.

Her 19-year-old son is living with cerebral palsy. A condition which prohibits him from driving.

His bike, an expensive BMX Haro, was his only mode of transportation.

When Blanton took to social media to warn others about the attack and robbery, she found out her son was not the only one that has been assaulted at Greystone Park in recent months.

“These kids are taking possession of something that’s not theirs. And they’re hurting the children around here. They’re basically bullying and terrorizing this whole neighborhood,” said Blanton.
