Attorneys for Rachel Sheppard filed a lawsuit against MGM Resorts.

The 26-year-old Tehachapi woman was shot three times at the Route 91 Festival and has had four surgeries since the shooting more than two weeks ago.

This is the second lawsuit to be filed against MGM in the wake of the Oct. 1 tragedy that left 58 people dead and injured more than 500.

Sheppard was staying at an MGM Resort property during her trip. She was shot by Stephen Paddock, who was a guest at Mandalay Bay, a property owned by MGM Resorts.

Sheppard's mother and her lawyers say security should have been better organized and the family is suing for negligence.

Sheppard's mother says she'll likely have problems for the rest of her life due to her injuries.
