Over the course of the last several months, Kern County Sheriff’s deputies developed information that Steve Hasner, who resides at 300 Laurel Drive in Bodfish, was involved in the sales of illegal drugs.

As a result of the investigation deputies were able to obtain a search warrant to search his property.

On October 28, 2016, deputies executed the search warrant and detained Steve Hasner, Nicholas Hasner and Eileen Hasner.

Deputies, with assistance from the Sheriff’s Office Bomb Squad and the Sheriff’s Office and Bakersfield Police Department SWAT units, conducted a search of the property and located trip wires, booby traps, a marijuana lab, and several improvised explosive devices including a frag grenade.

Deputies also located several fully automatic assault rifles, numerous firearms, ammunition, an anarchy cookbook, and methamphetamine and paraphernalia consistent with the sales of illegal drugs.

All three of the detained suspects were arrested and booked into the Sheriff’s Office Central Receiving Facility for the above related charges. The investigation is ongoing.
