Two arrested for failing to register as gang members

On September 24, 2016 at 2:35 P.M., Officers with the Porterville Department responded to a residence located on West Springville Avenue, north of West Poplar Avenue for a Probation compliance check on 20-year-old Steven Sanchez. 

During contact with Sanchez, he was determined to be out of compliance with his narcotic offender registration requirement.  Sanchez, a Criminal Street Gang member, was taken into custody and booked into the custody of the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office on the aforementioned charges.

On September 24, 2016 at 3:23 P.M., Officers with the Porterville Department responded to a residence located on West School Avenue, north of West Morton Avenue, for a Probation compliance check on 23-year-old Jesus Soto.

During contact with Soto, he was determined to be out of compliance with his gang member registration requirement.  Soto, a Criminal Street Gang member who is currently out of custody on bail, was arrested and booked into the custody of the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office on the aforementioned charges.
