Heidi Kosareff didn't start Mother's Day as a mom, but after her daughter Fiona was born a little after three Sunday morning, she joined in the Mother's Day excitement. 

Kosareff, along with Kenia Contreras, were among the handful of first time moms who celebrated their first Mother's Day at Memorial Hospital in central Bakersfield.

Contreras, whose daughter Amelia has been suffering from several illnesses since she was born on St. Patrick's Day, said that being able to go outside with her daughter today was a blessing in a time that has been tough for her.
