Veterans Day is Saturday, November 11, and many places are offering deals or holding events for Veterans.

• The Kern County Heritage Commission is holding a Kern County Veterans ceremony on Friday November 10 at 12PM at Liberty Bell.
• Applebee's across the state of California are celebrating their 10th anniversary of honoring American veterans and active-duty military by offering them a free meal on Veterans Day. The Applebee's Bakersfield location is: 9000 Ming Avenue, Suite M.
• True Standard Barbershop is offering FREE haircuts to Veterans and active duty Military Saturday. True Standard Barbershop is located on 5412 California Ave.
• Saint John's Lutheran Church is hosting a free Veterans concert on Saturday at 7PM. Admission is free and everyone is welcome to come. Saint John's Lutheran Church is located on 4500 Buena Vista Road.
• CSUB Men's Basketball team is honoring Veterans with free admission to their game against Whittier College Friday night at 7 p.m. Just bring your valid I.D.
• Guild House Restaurant will be hosting a Salute to Veterans on Friday, November 10, 2017. Members of the military can enjoy a 15% discount with your military ID. 
• Rollerama is offering FREE admission to all veterans on Friday, November 10, 2017. Free admission times are between 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Great Clips Free Haircut 

On Veterans Day, customers who come in for a haircut at any U.S. Great Clips salon will receive a free haircut card to give to an active/inactive/retired military member of any branch, including the National Guard. Veterans can also visit any U.S. Great Clips salon on November 11 to get either a free haircut that day or to pick up a free haircut card to use later. Haircuts are redeemable until Dec. 31.

A 10% discount is also offered to all other military veterans on Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day and Veterans Day.
