UPDATE (Sept. 18, 12:30 p.m.): A man found with gun shot wounds in Oildale last week has died.

The Coroner has identified the man as 43-year-old Robert Sherman Wilson of Bakersfield. 

No arrests have been made.

One person is in critical condition and suspects are on the loose after a shooting in Oildale on Friday afternoon.

According to the Kern County Sheriff's Office, reports of gunshots were received at about 2 p.m. Friday in the area of Hurrle Avenue and Lincoln.

Witnesses say they saw a vehicle leave the area and crash into a fence. KCSO deputies showed up to the scene and found the vehicle with one person inside. That person suffered apparent gunshot wounds. 

The victim, who has not been identified, was taken to a hospital and is in critical condition. 

No arrests have been made.
